The Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC) has assumed responsibility for the development of Canada’s National Model Codes from the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC), which has been dissolved.
This page will continue to remain active until the CBHCC launches its new website. Read the announcement from the CBHCC.
A Code Change Request (CCR) becomes a Proposed Change once it has been reviewed by a standing committee, under the supervision of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes, and work has been undertaken for development as either an approved task or a minor task. The outcome of the task work is a Proposed Change to the National Model Codes and follows the path outlined in the code development process.
This Proposed Change tracking database can be used by CCR proponents to follow the progress of proposed changes for a task linked to their CCR. Information in the database can be accessed using the filter option or toggle arrows to sort by:
- ID number (the number assigned when a standing committee has started its work on the issue and created a proposed change form for potential publication)
- Title
- Description
- Code Reference
- Status (the progress of the proposed change through the system)
- Code Change Request (the corresponding CCR number assigned when it was originally submitted by a proponent, see the CCR Tracking Database)
